Zintlr acts in two capacities:
As a Controller,

As a Processor,
for personal data that a Licensee uploads to, or processes through, the Zintlr platform on the Licensee's own behalf and instructions. This processing is governed by Zintlr's Data Processing Addendum ("DPA") with the relevant Licensee.
Zintlr processes data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, and — where applicable to a data subject or Licensee — the GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.

DATA COLLECTION
Zintlr Business Database
The Zintlr Business Database contains professional contact and company information limited to the type of information generally found on a business card, an email signature block, or otherwise necessary to identify and contact a professional in a business capacity. This data is compiled from:
Zintlr Community Edition:
Members who voluntarily contribute contact data from their business networks (e.g., email header/signature information) under the terms of that program.
Affiliates:
Subsidiary, parent, or joint-venture entities under common ownership with Zintlr.
Third Parties:
Business partners who maintain verified company information, used to validate that data added to the Business Database is business-related rather than sensitive.
Public Sources:
Publicly available sources gathered through automated tools (e.g., identifying standard company email formats).
Basis for processing:
Zintlr processes this data on the basis of its legitimate interest, and Zintlr's Licensees' legitimate interest, in maintaining an accurate B2B contact database for business-to-business sales, marketing, and recruitment purposes (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); DPDPA Section 7(b), certain legitimate uses). Zintlr does not rely on the consent of the Contact for this processing, since Contacts are not asked to provide this data directly. Zintlr has assessed that this processing does not override the rights and interests of the individuals concerned, given the limited, business-context nature of the data and the opt-out mechanism described in Section 8.
Contact data is organized in Zintlr's data lake and compiled into Business Contact Cards within the Zintlr Business Database. Zintlr maintains an Opt-Out List of Contacts excluded from the Business Database on request.
End User Data
When End Users register or use the Services, Zintlr collects: name, professional email address, professional phone number, location, and — where voluntarily provided — gender, date of birth, education history, work history, and language preferences. This data is collected directly from the End User and is not sold. Where this data collection is not necessary for providing the Service, Zintlr relies on the End User's consent.
Payment Data
Payment details are collected and processed by Razorpay or Stripe on Zintlr's behalf; Zintlr does not directly collect or store payment card information.
DATA UTILIZATION
End Users:
Zintlr processes End User data to provide the Service, maintain and verify accounts, communicate subscription and service information, personalize the Service, provide support, and respond to data access requests. This data is also used to detect fraudulent or illegal activity, comply with legal obligations, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
Visitors:
Zintlr processes visitor data to analyze and improve the Service and to maintain security, on the basis of Zintlr's legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website.
Contacts:
Zintlr processes Contact data in the Business Database, on the legitimate-interest basis described in Section 4.1, to: provide the data to Licensees and End Users for business purposes; enrich, update, and validate the database; respond to Contact inquiries and objection/opt-out requests; and prevent fraud and identity theft. Data may be shared with legal authorities upon lawful request.
DATA SHARING
With End Users/Licensees:
Business Contact data is made available to Licensees and their End Users to deliver the Service.
Within Zintlr:
Access is limited to personnel who need it, subject to Zintlr's internal confidentiality policies.
With Payment Partners:
Necessary payment-related data is shared with Razorpay or Stripe to process transactions.
With Service Providers:
Shared only to the extent necessary for hosting, storage, or support services, under confidentiality obligations.
Business Transactions:
Data may be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to confidentiality commitments from the recipient.
Legal or Public Authorities:
Zintlr may disclose data to comply with law, a court order, or lawful process; to investigate fraud or a legal violation; to protect Zintlr's or others' legal rights; or to respond to a legal claim.
DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
Zintlr Business Database (Contacts):
Retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service to Licensees and End Users, subject to a maximum of [X years] from the date of last verification/update, after which the record is reviewed for continued accuracy or deletion, unless a longer period is required by law.
End Users:
Retained while the account is active, and for 6 years thereafter for legal and dispute-resolution purposes, after which data is deleted.
Licensees:
Retained for the subscription term and for 6 years thereafter for legal compliance, after which data is deleted. Data processed on behalf of Licensees is retained strictly per Zintlr's DPA with that Licensee.
Data Lake:
Unstructured source data is retained for up to 3 years to compile verified Business Contact Cards.
Opt-Out List:
Retained for as long as necessary to give effect to the opt-out.
Post-Erasure Retention:
Where Zintlr is legally required to retain a limited record after an erasure request (e.g., for audit or legal-claims purposes), such record is retained only for 5 years and only for that specific purpose, not for general processing.
Where Zintlr is legally required to retain a record after an erasure request, that record will be restricted from further processing, accessible only for the specific compliance purpose invoked, retained only for the period that purpose requires, and erased once that purpose lapses.
DATA RIGHTS
Individuals may contact Zintlr at [email protected] or via the Zintlr Privacy Centre to exercise the following rights, subject to applicable law:
Access:
Confirm whether your data is processed, obtain details of the processing, and request a copy.
Rectification:

Portability:
Where processing is based on your consent or a contract with you, receive your data in a portable format. This right does not apply to Business Database data processed on a legitimate-interest basis.
Objection / Opt-Out:
Where Zintlr processes your data on the basis of legitimate interest (including inclusion in the Business Database), you may object to that processing at any time via the User Opt-out Form. Zintlr will honor the request by adding you to the Opt-Out List and removing your data from the Business Database, unless Zintlr has an overriding legitimate ground or legal obligation to continue processing.
Processing Limitation:
Request that processing be limited, e.g., during a dispute or audit.
Erasure:
Request deletion of your data, subject to Zintlr's legal or legitimate grounds for retention (see Section 7.6), evaluated case by case.
Minors:
Zintlr's Services are not directed at individuals under 18. If Zintlr becomes aware that Contact or End User data belongs to a minor, it will be deleted promptly. Report concerns to [email protected].
Consent Withdrawal:
Where processing is based on consent (e.g., certain End User data or marketing communications), you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal and does not apply to data processed on a legitimate-interest basis.
DATA SAFEGUARDING
Zintlr implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption, to protect Personal Information against loss, unauthorized access, use, modification, or theft, consistent with industry practice. Where Zintlr processes data of individuals subject to GDPR, cross-border transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as required.
